We offer a free planning consultation to all our customers*
One of the great advantages of shepherd huts is that, unlike permanent structures, they usually don’t require planning permission for single, personal use huts. But there are occasions when you may need to apply for planning permission - if you’re starting a glamping business or if you live in a National Park. And different countries often have different rules, even in the UK.
At Arbor Shepherd Huts we’ve partnered with Pike, Smith & Kemp, experts in rural planning, to offer a free initial planning consultation for all of our customers.
The consultation is all online, and all you need to do is provide your address and a rough idea of the hut you want, which will be enough for their planning experts to assess whether your hut will require planning permission or not.
If planning permission is required, then they can handle the whole planning process for you, and will outline their terms and fees as part of the process.
This offer is a great way to get started with your shepherd hut project. Pike, Smith, Kemp have worked with several of our customers in the past, and their expertise will help ensure that your hut is compliant with planning regulations, and their experience will help you to navigate the planning process smoothly.
If you are interested in finding out whether you will need planning permission for your hut, please fill out the form below, and we will be in touch with you shortly!
*The free consultation only covers the initial decision of whether the planning is needed or not. Pike, Smith, Kemp will handle and charge separately for any planning work undertaken with them.
